Hi, I’m Kim.
I live on a small farm outside of Atlanta, GA, and have always had a deep love for animals and the people who care for them.
Before starting The Paw Team Bookkeeping, I spent years building my own pet business — beginning as a side hustle on Rover and eventually growing into an independent boarding and daycare business. Along the way, I learned firsthand how challenging it can be to juggle caring for animals, managing clients, and keeping up with the financial side of a growing business.
Long before that, I also worked as a bookkeeper for a small business, which gave me a strong foundation in understanding how businesses run behind the scenes. Over time, those two worlds came together — my love for animals and my passion for helping small business owners feel more confident about their numbers.
Today, I work specifically with pet businesses because I understand the heart behind what you do. My goal is simple: help fellow pet professionals stay organized, understand their finances, and build businesses that are both sustainable and rewarding.

Say hi to Vex!
Every great team needs a little personality, and that’s where Vex comes in.
Vex was an accidental adoption. I wasn’t planning on getting another dog, but he came into my life at just the right time — and of course I couldn’t say no.
These days, he serves as The Paw Team’s Barketing Manager and Chief Digging Officer. His specialties include supervising office activities, testing the comfort of dog beds, and digging through anything to find what he's looking for.
Vex represents what this business is really about: a genuine passion for animals, the courage to take chances, and the determination to dig through whatever challenges come our way.
Plus, every office runs better with a dachshund in charge.
Oh...and the name, Vex? It was his given name from the previous owner. He had it for 4 years and I simply didn't want to start calling him something else. Not to mention, it really fits his personality!
